Philips Double Layer Rack

Allows double-layer cooking to make more space.

Compatible with Philips Viva AirFryer (Classic with dials) and Philips Viva AirFryer (Digital), models HD9220 and HD9230. Customers report it will also fit into the larger Avance XL model. Note that the Avance XL models come with a similar rack already.

Cleaning: Dishwasher safe. Spraying first with cooking oil can help prevent some foods suck as breaded fish, chicken fingers, etc, from sticking.

Other: Includes skewers so you can do kebabs. It does not say how many; there may be four.  If you want extra skewers, any skewers from a dollar / pound store that will fit into the machine will do.

Notes: When you are using it, bear in mind that food on the top rack will be closer to the heat source than it usually is, so you may wish to lower the cooking temperature until you get a feel for it.

Some customers have expressed concern that the skewers are a tad too long and might scratch the non-stick sides of the basket:

“This rack is serviceable, however, the kabob skewers are just a tad too long and they scratch the inside of the cooking basket, and have to be positioned aslant. There is no way four kabobs will fit in the fryer basket at the same time once they are loaded with food, not unless the food pieces are cut very, very small… It can, however, be used to cook two levels of food at the same time, again, if the layered food is in smaller pieces.
