Usage notes
- Based on customer reviews, seems to be among the more durable countertop convection ovens owning to glass parts, and heating coil instead of halogen bulb
- Shuts off automatically when handle is lifted
- Manufacturer says: bake; broil, convection, defrost, grill, roast, steam, toast, warm
- “the most challenging part is the lid with the cooking element built into it. The challenging bit is the handle, which folds up for carrying, and folds down for cooking — but you must press a little plastic tab in order to push the lid fully down. Ham-handed operation might lead to unnecessary breakage of this” [1]Amazon customer review. September 2013. https://www.amazon.com/review/R26S73QDE2TI9M/ref=cm_cr_rdp_perm
- ” the only thing i could say bad about this unit is the little safety they built into the handle which must be pushed as you lower the handle to turn it on. It is very fragile and i’m sure it will in fact break at some point” [2]Amazon customer review. March 2014. https://www.amazon.com/review/R3EONWR9QOD96I/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B003XJE60U
- Do not attempt to manually force the timer backwards
- Purchasers say to thaw food first before cooking

Have just obtained one of these, or rather the version for Europe, 220-240v. It looks the same as the Oyama and would say it came out of the same factory. Element heating not halogen and more rugged and longer lasting. Name to look out for in Europe is TV Products and brand name Kitchen King good luck

i just tried to make chicken legs. After 30 minutes they still were not done and certainly not crispy. I ended up using a crockpot to finish them I also tried baking cookies….they didn’t spread but rather stayed pretty much in a ball and some of them burnt. I was successful cooking pork chops…all in all, I returned it and got a QVC air fryer. Might have been a little more expensive but it does what it says it will do.
