How to remove the paddle on an Actifry

Inserting / removing the paddle on an Actifry Classic (Standard)

The paddle on an Actifry Classic (aka standard) has a lever bar at the top that you pull up / push down to unlock / lock into place. There are up / down arrows on the side of his lever bar giving you a strong hint about what is required of you.

To lock the Actifry paddle into place

First make sure the bowl is in the machine.

Pull the lever bar up, then position the paddle over top the centre hole in the bowl. Push the lever bar down. You will feel it lock into place.

To unlock and remove the Actifry paddle

If you are not certain that paddle is cool, wear an oven mitt or wait till it is cool.

Do not remove paddle if there is still food in the bowl that would be at risk of spilling out / tumbling out through the centre hole.

Put your thumb on the flat spot on top of the paddle (for leverage.) Put your index and middle fingers under the lever bar flaps on either side, and pull the bar up using those two fingers.
