Fried Tofu Balls

air-fried-tofu-balls

These tofu balls are a great side addition to any Asian-style meal. They are crisp and crunchy on the outside, soft and succulent on the inside, and provide good protein.

Despite their deep-fried appearance, 6 of ’em are only 140 calories / 4 Weight Watchers® PointsPlus™.

You can serve these with a big feed of Green Curry Noodles, and maybe Faux Fried Rice and Air Roasted Broccoli, too.

The best part is these tofu balls are dead easy to make. In fact, perhaps the easiest recipe you’ll ever see on this site. Ready?

There ya go; there’s the directions; just open the pack.

Am I kidding? Nope. That’s it.

An air fryer, in fact, is the best way to reheat these puppies.

Just open the pack, and toss into an air fryer to reheat and crisp up — about 5 to 7 minutes, to taste. If you use a paddle-driven air fryer such as an Actifry™, toss them into the bowl with the paddle in so the paddle can stir them. There’s no need to add any oil or fat. If you use a basket-type air fryer such as a Philips Airfryer™, turn or toss half-way through.

These are actually pretty big. Here’s a photo comparing them to an American quarter.

So you see that you’re actually getting a lot of food for your 140 calories / 4 ww points.

Here’s the full nutritional information for this particular brand (Tang), so that you can look for something similar near you.

These are delicious and love soaking up sauces such as soy or ponzu sauce or any sauces with your meal, really.

So, knowing that they really aren’t very fattening, and are a natural to reheat in your air fryer, I hope you’ll look for them and try them as an easy side to your Asian style meals. Enjoy!
