The Actifry Mini is a smaller version of the Actifry classic.
Designed for smaller kitchens, it is a space-saving appliance to take up less counter space.
It can make 600 g (1.3 pounds) of chips / fries at one time. (The Actifry Classic can do 1 kg / 2.2. pounds.) For meal planning, plan on 2 sensibly-sized (i.e. not large) portions of food for 2 people.
The “tablespoons” of oil are also smaller. Instead of the tablespoon called for being 15l, it’s 8 ml. [1] “Avec seulement 1 cuillère d’huile de 0.8cl, vous pourrez réaliser jusqu’à 0.6kg de frites fraîches.” Retrieved August 2014 from Tefal Mini page.
Owing to the smaller volume of food being cooked, it’s also faster: T-fal says that a batch of fries is only 20 minutes in this machine, compared to 30 minutes or so in an Actifry Classic.
The machine uses 1200 watts, compared to 1400 watts for the Actifry Classic.
The timer stops the machine automatically — which most people will say is an improvement over the Actifry Classic.
The pan comes with a “collar” that goes approximately 1/3 of the way around the top of the pan to stop food from flipping out.
Model numbers are in the FZ200xxx range.
As of summer 2014, this is available in Europe and in the UK (sold both under the SEB and TFAL brand names) but not in North America yet.
